But

Given the choice of Amalfitano and Nolan, Allardyce always picks Nolan

Given the choice of Cole and Zarate, Allardyce always picks Cole and farmed Zarate out on loan

Given his subs for much of the season have reverted to a 4-5-1 formation that simply does not work, why hasn't Allardyce used some academy graduates to at least maintain the 4-4-2 that has worked and keep key players in their best positions

Now safe, Allardyce's continued use of, say Downing on the right to accommodate Nolan is frankly laughable and indefensible

Re: West Ham v Stoke - Official Match Thread 1-1 FT
Er, Cole was on first, after an hour, because Sakho was injured [ in won't play at City it seems ]. The game was three quaters gone when Nolan replace a largely ineffective Song. Morgan then replaced a tiring, back from injury, Valencia.

Our bench is simply nowhere near the required standard. Stoke's was much stronger by comparison.

I'm shocked that anyone thinks that Nolan came on at halftime.

I dont hate you sunshine. I don't know you. Nor do I wish to. You just bore the living shit out of everyone with you ludicrous obsession with Mark Noble.
But hey, be proud, you bore the living shit out of people in at least 3 continents

I blame that fucking ball boy for Stoke's final push that saw them equalise.
Him throwing the ball away from Walters clearly got them fired up.

I hope someone gives him a good slap.

Were Song and Sakho injured or just playing crap as I can't believe that the walrus would bring on Nolan and Cole and sit back to try and counter attack with their magnificent pace!!

Oh actually on second thoughts the walrus would do that!!

Re: West Ham v Stoke - Official Match Thread 1-1 FT
Felt like a defeat to me except that had they not equalised we would have mugged them. They were the better team imho.

BFS has effectively gone as our manager and in reality it was our cup defeat at WBA that signalled the real rot had set in. It won't be a sacking because BFS has fulfilled his brief and subsequently removed any doubt about whether or not his contract should be renewed.

I still think that we have a wafer thin set of back up players and we need several genuine mid prem first teamers to boost our squad next season. Let's see who our next manager brings in.

Incidentally the bottom club we lost to last week, narrowly, went to the Hawthorns and won today so it seems we did not get beaten by complete mugs last week.

At 2:35 I finally made the decision to drag my fat arse off the settee and go to the game, and that was mainly because the weather was nice.

I lay 95% of the responsibility for that sorry state of affairs at Allardyce's doorstep.

The other 5% is me being a lazy fucker.

Their goal was (another) stab to the heart when it went in today and I came out feeling miserable about yet another defence of a one-goal lead going all to shit.

Upon mature reflection though I think it's another positive result for our long term future. It's not losing against the top 4 that gets you the sack, it's losing against the division's bottom club and being comprehensively outplayed at home against Stoke who had two goals chalked offside and one magically come back off the inside of the post.

I actually disagree with people who say we need loads more players. I think we've got some very good footballers who are being hamstrung by their manager. Every team in the world would love a few more quality players, don't they?

Is Allardyce making the best of what he's got though? It's getting to the stage where I simply don't want to go any more. It's that grim.

Doc likes my blood and organs again. Get a new scan May 1 results May 5. so no stress there! Its strange I don't feel worried or scared but between the scans and the results I dream of locked rooms or being chased down endless corridors
So I'm off the chemo and the side effects for now. How you doing?

good goal by arnautovic to be fair.
best bit was him offering out the east stand lower, and shawcross advicing against it.

they had two chalked off an all, bar a few inches, could been a heavy defeat.

apathy aplenty around the club now, half the players are shot, the rest disinterested.

time for fresh start next season, without a doubt.
